October Update

Tyler Dumont and Tiphanie Ge at the 2012 Great Pumpkin Run

Physiomoves enjoyed another brisk Fall Sunday morning this past weekend at the Peace Arch Hospital Great Pumpkin Run/Walk, cheering on the hundreds of participants and raising money for the ER.  Physiomoves contributed over $600 and Physiotherapists Tyler and Tiphanie provided free post-event massages.  This is a great community event- if you've never tried it, be sure to participate next year!

A BIG announcement!

Physiomoves Physiotherapy Clinic is excited to announce plans to open their second location in the active community of Ocean Park, BC (South Surrey).

Physiomoves is a rehabilitation clinic with a special focus on sports injuries.  It has grown over the last 5 years in the wonderful area of Panorama Village/Sullivan Station in the heart of Surrey, BC.  Physiomoves has a strong team of Physiotherapists and a loyal clientele who travel from all over the Lower Mainland to receive the very best treatment possible for a variety of orthopaedic conditions.  Now, Physiomoves is ready to grow again, and they are proudly bringing their experience and enthusiasm to South Surrey.

After careful research and years of considering expansion options, Physiomoves Director Tyler Dumont found Ocean Park to have a similar dynamic to that of Panorama Village:  a vibrant, growing community with a passion for health, a special quality of life, and support for local business.

"When we first opened Physiomoves in Panorama Village 5 years ago, I was able to walk to work because my family lived in the area.  We loved being able to support local events and sponsor local teams, and in turn we felt very supported by the community.  We have been able to build a successful business in large part thanks to word of mouth in and among that wonderful neighbourhood." Dumont said. "Now we are ready to do the same thing here in South Surrey.  My wife grew up in Ocean Park, graduated from Earl Marriott Secondary and always hoped to move back to this area.  We are finally here, and we are excited to open our doors and help people of South Surrey regain strength and health through our new Physiomoves clinic.  We have an exceptional team of experienced Physiotherapists all keen to work at the new location. We're thrilled about all the possibilities the area has to offer, and I'm excited to be able to walk to work again on the days I'll be at the new clinic!"  Dumont plans to work Tuesdays and Thursdays at the new location, while continuing to work Monday, Wednesday, Friday and alternating Saturdays at the Hwy 10/152 street location.  Other Physiomoves Physiotherapists who will be working in Ocean Park include Johnny Yiu, Jody Wiebe and  Jessica Deglau.  They are all graduates of the UBC Master of Physical Therapy program, and each therapist brings unique skills and expertise.

Physiomoves will occupy the space next to Schill Insurance located at 1599 128th Street.  The interior design, private treatment rooms, gym space and equipment will all be very modern and top quality.  Construction has already begun with a tentative opening planned for late November 2012.  A follow up announcement will provide details on how and when clients can begin booking appointments in Ocean Park.
