What are we up to in early 2010?

2010 is well underway, and Physiomoves is excited about great things happening in and around our clinic and community. We have a couple of new faces- welcome Paige (part-time reception) and Johnny Yiu, our most recent Physiotherapist to join the team. Johnny will be working full time starting in February; his complete bio and photo are posted on our website (www.physiomoves.com). We say farewell to Krystie in February and wish her well in her future endeavours.

Clinic Director Tyler Dumont will be carrying the Olympic torch on Feb. 10 in North Vancouver at ~3:10pm along Grand Boulevard West between 15-17th streets. Come cheer him on or follow coverage live on the web via http://www.ctvolympics.ca/torch/follow-torch/index.html

Tyler is providing occasional therapy coverage for the Surrey Eagles Junior A Hockey Team until the end of their season. He is also continuing to lead mini-workshops for local running and cycling groups (e.g. the Running Room and Team in training). He has attended some great courses recently on advancements in therapy for shoulders and ankles.

Jody, Kristen and Johnny are all continuing their education by completing Orthopaedic division advanced manual therapy courses. These are intense courses, but our Physiotherapists strive to give the most current, advanced treatment possible to our clients. See their website bios for more details.

Barry, our fulltime massage therapist, recently completed the SportMedBC Athlete Functional Assessment course.

We look forward to helping you "move your body better" in 2010! Please call us (604-575-7477) if you have any questions or would like to book an appointment with one of our fabulous therapists. See you soon!
